Tariq bin Ziyad died in 720 Berber was a Muslim of African origin and a general of Banu Umayyad. He captured the Christian government of Spain in 711 and started the Muslim power in Europe. Gibraltar is the Spanish origin of the Arabic name Gibraltar.
